Establish a Bequest

To include a gift in your will, please consider the following language:
I give, devise, and bequeath to the National Children’s Center (NCC), a non-profit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the District of Columbia, the sum of $___________ (or ______% of my estate).

Explore Charitable Lead and Charitable Remainder Trusts

There are a variety of charitable trust options that can help you support people of all abilities and the vital work of NCC.

We recommend you consult with your financial and other advisers as you consider the charitable trust options that are best for you and your family.

A charitable lead trust transfers the income from trust assets to NCC for life or a term of years providing immediate support. Later, at the expiration of the specified term, the trust assets become available to you or your heirs at reduced tax rates.

A charitable remainder trust can provide a fixed payment for life or for a term of up to 20 years. Charitable remainder trusts may also offer help in avoiding capital gains tax on appreciated assets used to fund the trust and can provide a charitable income tax deduction in the year you transfer the assets. NCC benefits from a future payment of what remains in the trust after all the payment obligations have been met.
